Are mothers more likely to be awarded primary custody time sharing than fathers in Florida?
Well simply stated no. The idea of Florida law is that it should be what’s best for the children and a case can result in either the father or the mother being awarded primary residential responsibility or timesharing. What’s important to remember is how the children were spending time before the divorce took place. That’s probably going to have a lot to do with the arrangement that happens after the divorce takes place, so listen to your attorney, don’t listen to your friends and your neighbors on this issue because there is no presumption for either the father or the mother in Florida.
